Jumping Jack Abs

Check out this weeks Fit Tip - BOSU Jumping Jack Abs!

I love the working in the supine plank position and moving the arms up and down overhead (similar to when doing a jumping jack) increases the intensity of the abdominal work. This movement offers a great opportunity to really work on core stabilization and strength in the plank position.

I like to do 10-20 "jumping jacks" with the arms and then hold the plank with the arms extended alongside my legs for 10-20 seconds. Extend back over the dome for a few recovery breaths and then come back up for another set.

This is another great exercise to add into a circuit workout like the one I posted last week. You could substitute this for the BOSU Ab/Arm Circles or even make it an additional station.
